Way to go Ben! I think this is great! I'm interested in seeing what others have to say as well. I'm hoping we can get a good spectrum of ideas.

Compliments to Ashley as well!

One of my biggest questions in all of this is how to reasonably get from where our government/society is currently to what it should be. This kind of falls under your "seek change" heading, but it's more than just that-- what would a smooth (or at least realistic) transition look like? The government isn't going to suddenly cease functioning the way it has for decades (or arguably over a century), especially when not everyone feels the same.

What's realistic? What would good compromises be? These kind of questions are the most pressing to me in a lot of ways because their answers have the most direct impact on my immediate actions-- how I vote, interact with government, etc. Another big question related to this is, believing these things, how do I function within the existing government assuming it doesn't shift my direction anytime soon?

I have thought about that a lot. I think the most important thing is doing what we are doing right here. We need to spread the ideas of liberty using the internet and its power to promote freedom. As we discuss it, the ideas of freedom will take root. It will be contagious. This provides a forum in which we can discuss current issues and find solutions to them that promote liberty. Then, we can persuade others to support those principles. That's how the truth spreads...it is a true principle. Read through Pres. Packer's talk from this last conference. It gives some insight on this too.

Yes, this will be a lot of fun; we should have done this a long time ago. What are we going to do about Royal? If we can't get him to switch to gmail, how in the world would we get him on this?
